Blanquita

Meet Blanquita, a pregnant dog rescued by our dedicated team at SaveMeNow. Blanquita was found wandering the streets, visibly pregnant and in need of help. After being examined by our veterinarian, Dr. María Angélica, Blanquita was diagnosed with TVT, a venereal tumor transmitted during sexual reproduction. Despite this challenging diagnosis, we are committed to providing Blanquita with the care and treatment she needs. At SaveMeNow, we believe that every animal deserves a chance to have a happy and healthy life. She is currently receiving care and comfort in our shelter, where she will stay until her puppies are born. After the puppies are born, she will receive chemotherapy to treat her tumor, as recommended by Dr. María Angélica. We have hope for both Blanquita and her puppies' well-being. This story is a reminder of the importance of compassion and care for animals in need. Stay tuned for updates on Blanquita and how you can support her and help other animals like her at SaveMeNow.

Mía, Manchas, Gris and Pintada

In a small Colombian town, four dogs named Mia, Manchas, Gris, and Pintada lived happily with their owner. Tragically, their owner lost the battle against cancer, leaving the dogs uncared for, alone, and struggling for their lives on the streets, facing hunger and neglect.

Upon learning of their difficult situation, we took immediate action. We found the dogs in mere shadows of what they used to be, with their ribs visible through their thin fur. Despite being medium to large-sized, they weighed only 17-18 pounds each. We provided them with medical attention and took them to our shelter where, with love, care, and dedication, they began to thrive. Mia found her forever home with a loving family, while Manchas, Gris, and Pintada patiently await their turn. They are ready to give back the same love they received from us.

Mis, the siamese cat

Mis is a Siamese cat rescued from the desolate streets, shortly after giving birth to four adorable kittens. Her brave story begins amidst uncertainty and helplessness. After giving birth, Mis underwent a sterilization surgery, ensuring her future well-being and contributing to controlling the stray feline population.

Mis not only shows herself as a loving mother to her own offspring but also as a guardian angel to another little kitten, rescued from the shadows of a dark trash container. This act of tenderness and compassion demonstrates the nobility of her heart and the universal bond that unites all vulnerable creatures.

Pantera

Pantera lived in a village near our shelter in Guamo, Colombia. She was a farm dog, living with her owners until they sold the farm and left her behind. The new owners didn't want her, so they abandoned her to fend for herself on the streets. Yaneth, our dedicated team member at SaveMeNow, learned about Pantera's difficult situation and immediately took action. She found Pantera and took her to our veterinarian, Dr. María Angélica, who sterilized her for free.

Now Pantera lives in our shelter, where she receives lots of love and care. She's doing well, but she's still waiting for a forever home that will provide her with love.

Bruno

Bruno, a brave three-year-old male dog, was rescued by SaveMeNow from the harsh streets, where he was battling severe gastroenteritis requiring urgent medical attention. He also suffered from a cancer diagnosis, but thanks to chemotherapy treatment, he responded with surprising strength and determination. Despite the challenges he has faced, Bruno's unwavering will and resilient spirit shine through, making him an exceptional companion for any loving home.

The five kittens

Five kittens, born to a cat owned by a disabled woman living in poverty near a river, faced an uncertain future. Unable to care for them, the woman agreed to let us rescue them for adoption. She also agreed to have her two adult cats sterilized to prevent future litters. The kittens were taken to the Sol Canino Foundation in Sibaté, Colombia, where they were given the opportunity to find forever homes filled with love.

Negra

Negra, a female dog, was found wandering the streets of Guamo, Colombia, in a deplorable state. She was malnourished, and her neck was injured and infested with worms. Yaneth, our dedicated team member and boots on the ground for SaveMeNow, acted immediately. She took Negra to our veterinarian for medical treatment and deworming, and then to our shelter for her recovery. With love and care, Negra slowly began to heal. After she was strong enough, she was spayed to prevent future litters. Now, Negra is at our shelter, ready and waiting for her forever home. She is a sweet and loving dog who deserves a second chance for a happy life.

Black and white puppies

In a heartwarming tale of compassion, a litter of black and white puppies found themselves in need of help when their owner, battling cancer, could no longer care for them or their mother. Yaneth, our dedicated team member, took them under her wing. She brought the puppies to our shelter, where they were fed, dewormed, and cared for until they were ready for adoption.

With the support of the Sol Canino Foundation, these puppies found new homes, while their mother is being fed and cared for, awaiting the day she can be spayed. This story serves as a reminder of the impact of love and care in the lives of animals in need.

Sand-colored puppies

These adorable sand-colored puppies faced a grim fate when their owner threatened to throw them into a trash dumpster if they weren't rescued. Despite their owner's cruel intentions, these puppies were full of life and charm. Determined to save them, we took the puppies to our shelter, where they received a warm bath to remove the sand and dirt. They were fed nutritious meals, dewormed, and showered with love and affection. The puppies quickly flourished under our care, growing stronger and more playful each day. Once they were healthy and happy, the Sol Canino Foundation took over to find them loving forever homes. Although the puppies had a rough start in life, they were now on the path to a bright and promising future, thanks to the compassion and dedication of everyone involved in their rescue and care.

In the shelter, Lupe receives all the care and attention she needs. She is fed nutritious meals and showered with love and affection. As the due date approaches, everyone at the shelter eagerly awaits the arrival of her puppies.

At this moment, Lupe is about to give birth, and her story is just beginning. Stay tuned for updates on Lupe and her adorable puppies as we continue to provide them with the care and support they need.

Leo

Leo's story is one of resilience and hope. This male dog was brought to our shelter after being found with signs of a Transmissible Venereal Tumor (TVT), a disease transmitted during sexual reproduction. His condition was severe, with his penis protruding, but thanks to the expertise of our incredible Dr. María Angélica, who maneuvered to put it back in place, Leo underwent a surgical procedure and started chemotherapy to treat the tumor. Leo is now in the process of recovery, showing great progress.

Leo's story serves as a reminder of the importance of early detection and treatment of TVT. After his full recovery, Leo will be neutered to prevent the spread of the disease to other female dogs and help control overpopulation.

Florecita

The story of Florecita is a testament to resilience and the strength of motherhood. This brave cat was found abandoned on the streets of Guamo, pregnant and hungry. We couldn't turn our backs on her, so we brought her to our shelter where she was welcomed with open arms. At the shelter, Florecita received the care, feeding, and love she so desperately needed. Despite her challenging circumstances, she remained strong and soon gave birth to a litter of adorable kittens. Once her kittens were born and grew old enough, Florecita was spayed to prevent future pregnancies, ensuring her health and well-being.

Thanks to the support of the Sol Canino Foundation, Florecita's kittens had the opportunity to find loving forever homes. Florecita's story is a reminder of the importance of compassion and care for animals in need. Her journey from abandonment to a safe haven is a true testament to the transformative power of love.
